Tuesday night is Auction Night for me and it was a little slow this week.
There was tons of stuff - lots of it great stuff -
but prices were going higher than I wanted to pay.
I wasn't getting much and I was getting cranky because the temperature was about 98 and this building had only a few ceiling fans going. I hate going home with an empty van, after driving 30 minutes to get there, so when this came up for bid, and no one wanted it, before I even knew it, I raised my hand.
As soon as the auctioneer said I won, my first thought was,
"Why the heck did I just buy that? What was I thinking?"
Sometimes my bidding finger works faster than my brain.
After getting it home though, inspiration struck.
I'll show you tomorrow what's to become of this antique radio.
